When he was 14 years old, he moved with his family to the United States, settling in California.

Career in Film

Ke Huy Quan's big break came in 1984 when he played the role of Short Round in the blockbuster movie "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom." His performance earned him critical acclaim, and the film became a massive commercial success. He also gained recognition for his role as Data in the 1985 classic "The Goonies."

In the following years, Ke Huy Quan continued to work in Hollywood, appearing in movies such as "Breathing Fire," "Passenger 57," and "Encino Man." He also worked on the production side of the industry, serving as an associate producer for the film "Operation Condor" in 1991.

Later Career

After working in Hollywood for several years, Ke Huy Quan returned to Hong Kong to pursue his career in Asian cinema. He starred in films such as "Once Upon a Time in China and America" (1997) and "Dragon Heat" (2000). He also worked as a stunt coordinator for the film "X-Men" in 2000.

In 2003, Ke Huy Quan co-produced the Hong Kong film "MacArthur Park". He also played the lead role in the movie, which received critical acclaim in Asia.

Ke Huy Quan returned to Hollywood in 2008, playing the role of Sparrow in "The Forbidden Kingdom," alongside Jackie Chan and Jet Li. He has also appeared in a few television shows, including "The Big Bang Theory" and "Head of the Class."

Ke Huy Quan has received several awards and nominations throughout his career, including the Young Artist Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for his role in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" in 1985.
